Heritage Tree

The Grove City Area Historical Society and Museum is honored to present to you our three Heritage Trees.  The original one was designed and painted by Society Board member and artist, Lillian Reynolds Reeher.  The second and third trees added were painted by local painter Barbara Mullett.  They provide the focal point of the Society’s lobby entrance.  Nationally known aluminum artists at Wendell August in Grove City designed and produced the oak leaves for the tree in three beautiful metals: silver, bronze, and copper.  A donor can purchase a leaf in memory of a loved one or in honor of a family or individual.  The loved one’s name or family name will be engraved on the leaf and placed on the tree.

Funds raised by the leaf sales will benefit several Society projects including the preservation of the Giesmann photography collection, the cataloging of our art works, the digitizing of the seminar videos, the development and preservation of the Arthur Armour collection, and necessary improvements to preserve the building for years to come.  We are a tax exempt charitable 501c3 nonprofit corporation.  All membership contributions are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Consider purchasing a leaf in honor or in memory of an individual or family.  Please click on the link below to print, fill in, and mail the form, with a check made payable to the Grove City Area Historical Society.  Please mail the completed form to the Grove City Area Historical Society and Museum, ATTN:  Heritage Tree, 111 College Avenue, Grove City, PA 16127.
