GCAHS is proud to be offering two premiere hardback books that spotlight various aspects of our local history. The Way We Were features agriculture, mining, business and industry, local entrepreneurs, entertainment, events and wars, families, schools and churches. Grandma Left the Light On focuses on architecture of the community. Both volumes are the result of fastidious research and interviewing on behalf of the Society’s Publication Committee. The volumes are beautifully designed and printed and include many local photos, as well as maps and graphics.
One of the missions of GCAHS is to preserve the past in order to enhance the present and the future. These two books serve our mission by preserving stories and images for future generations.
