Mission Statement

The Mission of the Grove City Area Historical Society and Museum (GCAHS&M) is to preserve the history, heritage, and supporting artifacts of the Grove City, Pennsylvania area.

Thank you for visiting the Grove City Area Historical Society’s website. My name is Kathy Jack. It is my pleasure to currently serve as the President of the Historical Society. The Grove City area has been my home since I was a child, and I have always had an interest in our local history.

I am amazed at how much the Historical Society has grown since its inception in 1998. This growth is credited entirely to our dedicated volunteers, who give of their time and talents in preserving Grove City’s valuable history, and to all of our members, who have demonstrated through their interest and generosity that Grove City’s history is a treasure worth preserving. The Grove City Area Historical Society began with 35 members and has grown to over 350 members, which is a true testimony of the value we place on Grove City’s history.

If you have not visited our Historical Society, I encourage you to stop by and see for yourself the many rooms of Grove City’s historical treasures that the Society has lovingly preserved. You won’t be disappointed!
