Dear People, by Lillian Reynolds Reeher, is based on letters from 1898 to 1916, to Edna Bobbitt, married to Hood Reynolds. They portray rural Western Pennsylvanians during this period. In addition to the letters, the book traces the family back to Wales and the 1600s. The family’s background is very similar to other Scots-Irish immigrants of our area. The family served in both the American Revolution and the Civil War.
